Frequently Asked Questions - Homepage Our Lion's Club Sponsors
Q: If I need an Ashland Lion's Club signatureA: Periodically, it is necessary to turn in forms to the office in Central Point that require a signature from a representative of the chartering organization. In our case, of course, that is the Ashland Lions Club. We have three members of the Lions Club associated with our Troop including John Wurfl, Mark Haneberg, or Doug Johnson. All three are authorized to provide signatures to the Troop on behalf of the Lions.
Top Q: Does the Lion's Club take old eye glasses?A: One of the projects of the Ashland Lions club is the collection of used eye glasses for use by needy people with sight difficulties. The glasses collected are processed by a machine that reads the prescription and then the glasses are given to people with the corresponding sight loss. If you have any old glasses you no longer need, please consider donating them to the Lions. If you would like to sponsor a little service project, you might consider collecting glasses from the members of a group to which you belong by explaining the need and volunteering to be the person to whom they can give the glasses. Bring the glasses you have collected to John Wurfl, Mark Haneberg, or Doug Johnson, all of whom are members of our sponsoring organization.
